Home In the Ground

So When our Dear Fearless Leader was elected many of my dear Friends began telling me that he was bad news. Here we are into his second term, WHY did this happen, and something else has happened to make me a little nervous.

A few days ago the Pope Died. I hope his god treats him well, and we shall see him again soon I think, wiser and a more learned soul. But those are my beliefs talking. So all the people in funny hats had a conference and elected A New Pope who it was brought to my attention that he looks like Palpatine from Starwars, And his reputation is as debated.

So I see look around and what do I see but people all around me talking about the end of the world. I am not one to leap on a band wagon. But talk of the Burning times tends to make a Witch a little nervous. I mean Yeah maybe I am over reacting but I had this Idea.

Feel Free to tell me if I am Wrong I mean we have a Forum, but my idea is my own Hole in the Ground.

Literally speaking. 20th Century Castles has given me and Idea that some people have already taken to doing. Though me ever having the Credit for something like this is unlikely. But wouldn't owning your own missile Silo be cool. NOT to use Dummy but to live in. In Texas one guy is using his to teach people Deep sea diving. in New York on has a 3 bedroom house on top of it. So it isn't something bad. Some of those silos are set up like underground Communities think of it. Underground communities with everything that you need to be a true Geek. the Silos have at least 9 floors in side them. which would be complicated but possible to floors to the middle of. It has been done. I was thinking you could put a Freight elevator in the middle as a means of a support too and make 9 individual floors with either apartments/living Quarters or say computer rooms, plant rooms, a gym whatever you need with the development of fiber optics you can get sunlight all the way to the bottom of the silo too. Being it is Underground you already have a stable 58-65 Degree tempter year round. And if as a co worker of mine was saying if Yellowstone should erupt or Mount St Helen should act up again. Causing the Next Ice age...you are fine snug as a bug in a rug under ground with your green house and maybe even Solar panels for power.

So you and all your Friends manage to live thru an Ice age or burning times in your own little hole in the ground. complete with Heated green house even a pool. While humanity sinks to its lowest levels. Seams worth a couple of million to me. What do you think? Yet again you can tell me on our forums.

But before you Curse me think about it, Converting a military Control room into your own personal "Computer room". I would so get a bunch of hard Drives and make a tower of power. hackers dream world on one level. Just cause I could.

Ah sigh to have about 10 million Dollars to buy and Convert one of these to what I wanted. I would think the ones linked underground by 1/2 a mile of walkways would be the better ones for my Ideas though that and with a green house inside you could set it up to refresh the air too. I need to stop. But this was an Idea started by my Friend Jim many years ago when he found this site about missile silos. He also brought up the Solar panels too. I give him a lot of Credit for these Ideas but I still think I want one.

Then again I happen to like the Idea of not being spied on. Must be the Pirate in me.

So anyone want to start a contribution to my Idea? Being the Underground geek haven...think of the Lan parties! ha ha. Did you see the Floor plans for the Atlas F and Titans? Come on people.
