As we have said in the past there are many forms of Geek out there. From time to time we what to Introduce you to some of them. Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to John, I met John thru a Goth/Idustrial website. The Velvet Pantheon is a local site ment to Create a Goth/Indy scene here in the midwest.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I love fire. I have tryed to "control" my fixation with it for years. I had never thought I would see anyone Breath fire short of on TV. But after being a member of the pantheon for a while I decided to be social. And met all these great people John being one of the ones I thought was Scary at First. Always looking so serious at parties.

One Party I was Rushed outside to the anouncement that John starts the fireshow soon. Pyros can't resist the call of fire. In the COld there I was finding a spot my Drunk ass could sit, which was next to Eliza who was taking pictures of John. Who was Cracking Jokes and picking on people between breather fire and there were the fire batons too. Oh wow all I could do is watch in amazement.

Flames Flying everywhere who was thinking about the Cold. It was the First time I had seen or known anyone who had done anything like this...Other then my Fire pictures in the sand and Fireballs at the lake. So I watched.

Pretty!

The next Party I attended that John and Eliza were at John had more added to his fire show. He layed on a bed of Knives stuck stuff up his nose, and had us Staple Cash to him. I brought $5 (I am broke man, this job doesn't Pay buy some soap eventually I might make a dollar) and got to staple it to his Chest.

Have you ever stapled anything to a person? I will say it makes a funny sound and feels weird.

So at coffee the other night we had 2 DJ friends Playing wonderful music (this is where I will see if they have links later to music so you can hear there stuff) and more Caffeine and sugar in my system then needed. John takes out a sword licks it and "Gulp" you have the picture, taken by Eliza, of John swallowing a sword. Yet again I feel sheltered. And I grew up in Automotive shops and Bus Depo's! So as Eliza was uploading the picture, I said I would write an artical on John. Cause well this kind of stuff is too Cool, and the first of I hope of many new Geek's to get to Grace the front of this site.

So I have a picture and what I know of John...which isn't much. So I sent an email to Eliza, Which she Forwarded to John and Yeah we have some of his sideshow stuff I can tell you about.

Azar: What all sideshow acts do You currently do?
John: In order?
Cigarette Feind (combination of human ash tray and actually just eating a lit cigarette)
Blockhead (hammering nails screwdrivers and ramming a running cordless drill into my nose)
Hand in an Animal trap (and watching it come out unscathed)
Tongue in a Mouse trap
I'm the only one in the US that does a straightjacket escape on stilts
Glass Walking (barefoot on broken glass)
Bed of Swords (I lay on the edges of 5 swords and have somebody stand on my chest)
Sword Swallowing
Staplegun Blowoff (human tipjar with a staplegun)
Fire manipulation (fire eating, fire breathing, fire spinning)

I would like to point out this is the First I have ever done and interview so if I missed something help me come up with Questions on the Forum. I can't ask the Questions you want to hear if you aren't telling us what you want to hear.)

Azar: What are your favorites to preform?
John: Fire manipulation, and the straightjacket escape

Azar:How did he get started?
John: I met my mentor at the Gothnic in Denver a few years back doing fire play, and after talking to him for a few months he taught me the basics and I went from there.

Azar: Do you do anything on a regular basis in Omaha?
John: Nothing regular as of yet but every now and then I do gigs with the band 3D, and some of the other bands, parties and nightclubs, but nothing regular.

Azar: Got anyother pictures?
John: I know Eliza has a few, and I might have a couple of my photobucket account.
