PAYPAL SUBSCRIPTIONS AND RECURRING PAYMENT BUTTONS

Below is an example Subscriptions and Recurring Payments Button code. There are additional features you can add to each button, but the fields below either the most used. For additional features please take a moment to look at the PayPal Integration Guide. It will provide all the available options you can add to your buttons. I have marked fields that require their values changed to reflect your personal or product information with an . If you copy and paste the example HTML code I have provided properly, into the HTML portion of your website, the should not show up as it is commented out.

Please note the amount field is marked with an x.xx. You will need to replace this with the dollar amount of your product (i.e. 10.00). You do not need a $ in the amount value section. The currency_code variable is currently set to US dollars. If you do not wish to have funds sent to you in US Dollars please alter the value to reflect the appropriate currency. Your current options are "USD" (U.S. Dollar), "EUR" (Euro), "GBP" (Pound Sterling), "CAD" (Canadian Dollar), "JPY" (Yen), and "AUD" (Australian Dollars). Please remember to only use the three letter abbreviation in capitol letters.

There are a few different values you will need to alter or remove in order to set the parameters of your subscription correctly. If you are not using the lines of code please delete the entire line in question, otherwise please only edit the values. The values for a1, a2, and a3 will need to be altered to reflect the dollar amount of the subscription in question; a1 would be for the trial period 1, a2 would be for trial period 2, and a3 is for the main subscription.

The values for p1, p2, and p3 will need to be altered to reflect the timeframe you would like the trial period 1, trial period 2, and main subscription lengths. You options are 1 - 30.  Essentially if you want your customers to be billed monthly you would choose the number 1, and place it in the value field.

The values for t1, t2, and t3 will need to be altered to reflect the timeframe in days, weeks, months, or years you would like the trial period 1, trial period 2, and main subscription lengths. You options are D for day(s), W for week(s), M for month(s), and Y for year(s). These must be denoted in a single capital letter depending on how you would like to charge your customers.

The following values will determine if you want the subscription to stop after a certian timeframe, or if you would prefer it continue.

src - If the value is set to 1 the payment will recur unless your customer cancels the subscription before the end of the billing scyle. If omitted, the subscription payment will not recur at the end of the billing cycle.
sra - Reattempt on failure. If set to 1, and teh payment fails, the payment will be reattemptd two more times. After the third failure the subscription will be cancelled. If omitted and the payment fails, payment will not e reattempted and the subscription will be immediately cancelled.
srt - Recurring Times. This is the number (in digits) of payments which a will occur at teh regular rate. If omitted, payment will continue to recur at the regular rate until the subscription is cancelled.
